Save the date and time for our Annual MLK Jr Day of Service!

Monday, January 19, 2026

10a-12p

Location: Marvin Gaye Park

Meet across from The Riverside Center at 5200 Foote St NE, Washington, DC 20019

Marvin Gaye Park is one of DC's largest parks, with greenspace along Watts Branch, the largest tributary to the Anacostia River within DC.

Stewardship is a core part of Soul Trak's mission. Every quarter, Soul Trak hosts a Service Event dedicated to beautifying our local parks and waterways. We are coming back to Marvin Gaye Park where we have hiked, repaired bikes, and led clean ups before, to revisit the park and help divert trash from entering the Anacostia River by traveling down Watts Branch tributary.

How to prepare:

  • Wear sturdy shoes or boots and warm socks.
  • Wear gloves, and we will also provide work gloves that you can borrow.
  • Dress in layers! It will be chilly, but you may warm up by moving around.
  • Bring a reusable mug! We will have coffee and hot chocolate for volunteers.
  • Bring your friends!

We invite community members to come together to help clean up our parks and kick off the year with an act of stewardship and community. We look forward to seeing you there!
