Family Fishing Day

Join Soul Trak for a fun Family Fishing Day outing along the Anacostia River as we host a special fishing event tailored for all families. Our Family Fishing Day is an opportunity for families to bond, create lasting memories, and enjoy the thrill of angling in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Fishing gear will be provided; join us for a day of angling adventures suitable for all skill levels. Whether you're an experienced angler or trying your hand at fishing for the first time, our event offers a fun family bonding activity along the Anacostia River! We are inviting fishing mentors to the event to teach people how to fish. 

We will also be embarking on a boat tour of the Anacostia River, led by our friends at the Anacostia Watershed Society. Learn more about the river and its history, as well as what is currently happening to restore and steward the river! There will be two boat tours available. 

We will divide into two groups: one group will embark on the Boat Tour at 10:30a for 1 hour, and return at 11:30 to do the fishing lesson. The other group will do the fishing lesson first, then the boat tour at 11:30. We will all come back together at 12:30 to close out and reflect on the new experiences on the river!

Second Boat Tour: 11:30

Be sure to purchase a one-day DC fishing license. It is $10 for DC Residents, and $13 for non-residents. If you are under the age of 16 or age 65 and older, a license is not required to fish in the District.
