
The Soul Trak College Ambassador Cohort (CAC) at Howard University is bringing an exciting opportunity to Howard students to embark on a Skiing or Snowboarding Overnight at Snowshoe Mountain, WV. Sponsored by Arc'teryx Washington DC, transportation, lift tickets, rentals, and lodging will be covered for Howard students.
Thursday February 27th - Friday February 28th
Meeting Location: Front of Mordecai Johnson Administration Bldg, Washington, DC 20059
Bus will depart from Howard at 5:00am. Please be sure to arrive early to ensure your spot on the bus. We will be arriving back to Howard campus around 9:30p on Friday.

11:00a Arrive at Snowshoe Mountain Resort
12:00p Beginner Ski/Board Lesson
Post Lesson: Students will be paired with a Soul Trak or Arcteryx Volunteer mentor, who will accompany students on the mountain for the day.
5:30 Check in to The Inn at Snowshoe
6:30p Dinner
7:00-9:00 Night Skiing
9:30 Day 1 Reflection and Day 2 Briefing
10p Students retreat to rooms
Day 2
9:00 Breakfast
10:00 Check Out, Load Bus, head to mountain
1:00p Snow Tubing
4:00p Final Check In, closeout circle
4:30p Depart Snowshoe
9:30p Arrive back at Howard
The group will be staying at The Inn at Snowshoe. Each room sleeps 2 people.
Participants will be responsible for their own food on the travel days (Breakfast and Lunch on Day 1, and Lunch and Dinner on Day 2). Additionally, participants should be prepared to bring water and snacks.
Registration:
- Registration is limited to 20 students.
- There is a $40 registration fee.
- Howard students can use the code "BisonSki2025" to register for this event.
- Please indicate in registration your experience level skiing or boarding, and if you will need a lesson. There is no additional cost for a lesson, so it is highly recommended that if you are new to skiing/boarding or are not comfortable riding a ski lift, you take a lesson.
