Fort Circle Trail

Meeting Place:  Anacostia Community Museum, 1901 Fort Pl SE, Washington, DC 20020

Join us for a Soul Trak Community Hike! Starting and ending at the museum, we will walk the historic Fort Circle Trail to Fort Dupont.

The 7-mile out and back is a good beginner/easy hiking route. This is a popular trail for hiking, mountain biking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. 

Participants are advised to bring snacks and water along for the trip. It is important to have enough fuel for the day, we will stop for a break midway through hike. Do also wear close toed shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.  Note that all hiking tours are weather dependent and will proceed in light rain but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast.

We will gather at the Anacostia Community Museum, 1901 Fort Pl SE, Washington, DC 20020, where we will begin the 7 mile out-and-back hike (3.5 miles one way) to Fort Dupont.
