Let's explore Rock Creek Park, DC's very own national park! Bring your bike down to the Beach Drive Walking/Biking Path where we will meet to bike up Beach Drive and back down. This stretch of Beach Drive is closed to car traffic on weekends, so we will ride on the road and enjoy zipping through Rock Creek Park. This route is 5.4 miles long one way, and relatively flat. We will ride to Norman's Farm Stand, where we will stop for a brief break and riders can purchase fresh fruits or snacks to fuel up. Then, we'll ride back to the starting point. In total, this ride will be 10.8 miles round trip.
Notes:
Bikes and helmets will not be provided for this event. However, there is a Capital Bikeshare station that is about an 11-minute bike ride away from the starting point.
You MUST wear a helmet to participate in this event.
Bring plenty of water.

Meeting point: Intersection of Beach Drive and Broad Branch Road
Parking: There is limited parking just south of this meeting point. In Google Maps, it is called "Western Ridge Parking' (https://goo.gl/maps/RtYvqMVegxUgsFHE6). If that parking lot is full, there are other parking lots further south, along Beach Drive, near the picnic areas along Rock Creek.
