A Day of Fun and Adventure for the Whole Family!
Join Soul Trak & DC Greens at The Well at Oxon Run (@Ward8Well) on October 19 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. for a free herbalism workshop. This event is perfect for families with children of all ages who want to gain a deeper understanding of the basics of plant identification, herbal education, and connect with nature. There will be fun activities, like an engaging nature walk, and participants will be able to bring something home!
12:00 PM: Welcome & Introduction
12:15-12:45 30 Minute Station 1 (Herbalism and Plant Identification, or Natural Dyes)
12:45-1:15: Intermission - 20-30 minute walk to show off venue space, tell stories
1:15-1:45 30 Minute Station 2 (Herbalism and Plant Identification, or Natural Dyes)
1:45-2:00: 15 minute close out, hand out surveys
The Well at Oxon Run (@Ward8Well) is a community farm and wellness space powered by @dc_greens. Complete with 20,000 square feet of farming space dedicated to seasonal crop production, large community convening spaces, and an outdoor classroom, DC Greens welcomes all community members to The Well to work in the soil, celebrate, and share experiences together.
