Our participants will be kayaking at the Georgetown Waterfront for a three-hour program designed to introduce youth participants to paddling and the Potomac River. The program will take place on October 8, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Georgetown Waterfront located at 3500 Water St. NW, Washington DC 20007. Participants are advised to wear sunscreen and a hat and bring water. It is also recommended to bring a towel and a Zip loc or dry bag to keep belongings dry. Please note that all kayaking tours are weather dependent and will proceed in light rain but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast. Participants will be accompanied by experienced kayakers who will provide instruction and ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.
