Participants will be hiking the River Trail Loop. The loop is a pleasant 4.6 mile loop with beautiful scenery that runs between 564 ft of elevation.  The program will take place on September 16, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the River Trail Loop. We will start at the Great Fall Visitor's Center and walk over to the trail.

Participants are advised to bring snacks and water along for the trip. It is important to have enough fuel for the day, we will stop for a break midway through hike. Do also wear close toed shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.  Note that all hiking tours are weather dependent and will proceed in light rain but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast.

The program will provide participants with a unique opportunity to explore the Great Falls National Park, which is a gem in our nation's capital. Participants will be accompanied by experienced hikers who will provide instruction and ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience in the park. 

We will gather at the Great Fall Visitor's Center for brief intros  at 9:00 am before starting the hike. Looking forward to seeing your on the trail!
